Pioneer Days rescheduled
WAYNESBURG - Waynesburg Pioneer Days has been rescheduled for Oct. 15-16. Recent storms had postponed the festival.
Free ice cream cones available
To celebrate the last day of summer, Dairy Queen will host its second annual Free Cone Day today to benefit Children's Miracle Network. The free 5-ounce vanilla ice cream cones will be served at participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill locations nationwide.
Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 hospitals for children throughout North America.
Dairy Queen hopes to top last year's Free Cone Day when more than 721,000 cones were handed out and more than $75,000 raised for Children's Miracle Network.
