Isn't it interesting that the Bush administration continues to boast every day on the campaign trail about great success in the new "democratic Iraq" when in fact Iraq is in danger of falling?
On Sept. 15, two stalwart members of his own party, Republican senators Lugar and Hagel, rebuked President Bush for diverting $3.5 billion in reconstruction funding to combat a growing insurgency. Bush persists in painting a glowing picture of democracy "blossoming" while our own casualties mount. These are American sons and daughters being killed to fulfill the misguided ambitions of a failed egomaniacal politician.
When senior senators from the man's own party are so vehemently opposed to him, shouldn't we all be?
