Hardin wins Hometown Tire Contest

September 27, 2004

Stephanie Hardin of Junction City not only thought Highlands would beat Danville, but she thought it would be by a substantial margin.

Because of that she won the Hometown Tire Beat the Experts Football Contest over five other contestants who also had nine games right in last week's contest.

She wins a free four-wheel alignment, tire rotation and wheel balancing from Hometown Tire of Danville. She's also eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest that offers a $250 gift certificate to Hometown Tire here.

Sports editor Larry Vaught led the panel of experts with eight correct choices.

Those who beat the best expert to win a free tire rotation from Hometown Tire were as follows:

Nine right - Bill Jurgensen, Danville; Josh Cravens, Danville; Ray Young, Parksville; Tim Whitis, Stanford; and Kenny Floyd, Stanford.

Eight - Edgar Richards Jr., Stanford; Al Atmore, Danville; and Steven Baker, Lancaster.

Entry blank for this week's contest is on Page B2 of today's The Advocate-Messenger.

Winning coupons can be picked up at the Advocate circulation department during regular business hours.
