Missouri woman arrested in Harrodsburg

HARRODSBURG - A Missouri woman was arrested at the Economy Inn parking lot Friday after police say she was found driving under the influence and in possession of marijuana.

Krystal M. Greer, 22, of Mountain View, was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

Harrodsburg man charged in guitar theft

HARRODSBURG - A Harrodsburg man was arrested last week after he allegedly smashed a window of Mercer Music and stole two guitars, police said.


Austin Howell, 19, of 587 Cogar Ave., was charged with third-degree burglary and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

City police said witnesses saw Howell break out the windows at the store at 100 S. Main St. and take the two guitars before fleeing. The incident occurred about 11 p.m. Sept. 21, police said.

The guitars were later found near a creek along Poplar Street, and Howell confessed to the crime, police said.

Two arrested on pot charges in Harrodsburg

HARRODSBURG - Two Harrodsburg residents have been arrested on marijuana charges in separate incidents, police said.

Michelle McQuiston, 20, of 110 Hill St., was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Saturday and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

City police officers were executing a search warrant at McQuiston's residence when they found the marijuana. Additional arrests and charges are pending, police said.

On Sept. 20, Mark Matherly, 42, of 422 N. Greenville St., was charged with possession of marijuana after police went to his residence to investigate a criminal mischief complaint. Officers smelled marijuana and questioned Matherly, who showed police where he had some pot hidden under a chair in the living room, police said.

Lancaster woman hurt in Danville crash

One person was slightly injured in a two-car accident about 9 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of the Danville bypass and Southtown Road.

David Craig, 27, of 80 Cannon Road, Liberty, was stopped at the intersection, attempting to turn left from the bypass onto Southtown when his 1988 Dodge was struck in the rear by a 1987 Nissan driven by Betty Naylor, 52, of 2434 Perry Rogers Road, Lancaster.

Naylor was taken by Boyle County Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment of possible head and face injuries and released.
