City streets to be paved

These Danville city roadways will be paved this fall:

Fackler Street; Roy Arnold Boulevard; Fox Run Trail; Fox Harbor Drive; Rustonhill Drive; Duncan Hill; East Walnut Street; Alta Avenue, including the East Main intersection;

Kentucky Avenue; Boyden Court; Orchard Drive; Dillehay Street; North Fifth Street, from Lexington Avenue to High Street; North Second Street, from Lexington Avenue to Broadway; North First Street, from Lexington Avenue to Main Street;

East Mason Avenue; Butler Drive; High Street, from North Fourth Street to North Fifth Street; Smith Street, from North Fourth Street to North Fifth Street; Coldstream Drive to Brookside Drive, not across bridge; Clearbrook Drive to Stoneybrook Drive;


Second Street, Martin Luther King Boulevard to Walnut Street; North Fourth Street, from Broadway to Lexington Avenue; Danville Bypass access at the old Winn-Dixie; Danville Bypass at Finley's Fun Center and Danville Bypass access at Powr/Lite.

Harrodsburg homecoming is Friday

HARRODSBURG - Harrodsburg High School will host its annual homecoming celebration Friday. The festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a parade featuring the Kentucky State University marching band. The parade will begin in the high school parking lot, travel downtown and return to the parking lot for a pep rally.

The football game will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the "Hogs" hosting the Frankfort Panthers. Half-time festivities will include the crowning of homecoming queen and a performance by the college band.

Lincoln chamber office moves

STANFORD - Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce office has moved to 201 E. Main Street, Suite 5 in the Buzz Walker Building.

The space was donated by the county. The chamber can still be reached at (606) 365-4118.

Tobacco designation under way at FSA office

Producers who what to change the warehouse or receiving station where they plan to sell this year's tobacco crop can do so at their local FSA office by Friday.

The next regular designation periods are Nov. 1-5, Nov. 29 through Dec. 3, Jan. 3-7, and Jan. 31 through Feb. 4. For more information, call (606) 365-3588.
