The Boyle County Public Library passed a significant milestone Wednesday.
When "Kentucky 24-7," a photography book of life throughout the state, was placed on the shelf, it gave the library 100,000 books, said librarian Karl Benson.
"No wonder our shelves look crowded," he said.
When Benson came on board in 1978, there were 33,102 books. By Jan. 1, 2000, the number reached 85,958.
