Shelby and Stephen Walls of Danville announce the birth of a son, Samuel Joseph, 11:45 a.m. Sept. 3 at Central Baptist Hospital.

The baby weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 19 inches.

Paternal grandparents are Danny and JoRene Gadberry of Danville. Paternal grandparents are Jayne Walls and Clarance Walls, both of Danville. Great-grandparents are Barbara and Bob King, Burdetta Parson and Louise Walls, all of Danville.
