Kevin Hamilton has been named as Kentucky School for the Deaf's new head boys basketball coach. He replaces Paul Kulick, who left KSD to work at the Alabama School for the Deaf.
Hamilton had spent the two prior years coaching KSD's girls teams.
"He led the Lady Colonels in an outstanding performance, leading the girls to their highest potential," KSD athletics director Paul Smiley said. "We are very excited and pleased to have Kevin lead the Colonels."
Hamilton is a KSD graduate who was named a Deaf All-American and led the Colonels to a Mason-Dixon championship. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and won a gold medal with the U.S. Deaf Olympic basketball team in the 1980s.
