LIBERTY — Kay Sellers was hired Monday as recorder for the Casey County Board of Education. She will be paid $2,500 and was hired for one year.
Sellers replaces Melissa Vaughn, who had been secretary/account clerk and board recorder, and left to become a district-wide special education teacher, according to Superintendent Linda Hatter.
Larry Morgan also was named interim principal at Liberty Elementary School.
He replaces Marcenia Brown, who transferred from principal to the central office as Title I and district assessment coordinator.
Other personnel changes include:
Angel Hood named special education teacher at the high school; Betty Wesley was named academic coach, Beth Rodgers was named cheerleading coach and Tim Hatter was named assistant girls basketball coach at the middle school; Jennifer Todd was hired for after school services Reading First.
Ben Allen, Gavin Turpin and Marlene Atwood were hired for 21st Century activities at Garrett Elementary.
Katie Bradshaw was named teacher at Middleburg; Stephanie Floyd transferred from Middleburg to Phelps Elementary; and Christie Williams was transferred from Middleburg to the middle school. Hatter also named substitute certified and classified personnel.
