DHS band plans fund-raiser

The Danville High School band is raising funds while working at Lee's Famous Recipe all day Tuesday. If you eat there, you'll be supporting the band program.

Mercer to have chamber banquet

HARRODSBURG - The Mercer Chamber of Commerce banquet and annual meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Harrodsburg High School auditorium. Bob Martin will be master of ceremonies, and guest speaker will be Bill Samuels, president and CEO of Makers Mark Distillery.

The theme is "Strength in Togetherness." There will be a catered dinner, door prizes, and goody bags. Directors will be elected. Dress is semi-formal/business attire. Tickets are $23 for chamber members and $25 for non-members and can be purchased through the chamber office. For more information, call (859) 734-2365.

Darla Southerland is the mother of T.J. Southerland, who was named Tiny Mister Perryville. Her name was incorrect in Wednesday's paper, due to a reporter's error.
