Mabel W. Avritt

LEBANON - Mabel W. Avritt, 85, of Lebanon, died Thursday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born Oct. 30, 1918, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sydney Powar Wagner. She was a bank teller and the widow of Hubert Avritt.

Survivors include a sister, Ann W. Evans of Lebanon; and nieces and nephews.

Services were Saturday at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home by Larry Barker and Forrest Morris. Burial was in Ryder Cemetery.

Faye L. Ballard

LANCASTER - Faye Laverne Ballard, 59, of Myers Court, died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Born March 17, 1945, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Malinda K. Frye Johnson. She was a former employee of Garrard County Hospital's long-term care facility and Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Gilberts Creek Baptist Church.


Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Holland of Lancaster; three brothers, Buddy Johnson, Tommy L. Johnson and Johnny Johnson, all of Lancaster; five sisters, Shirley Brickey, Louise McQueary, Linda M. Weaver and Sally Spears, all of Lancaster, and Peggy Burton of Parksville; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Morris Trayner. Burial will be in Pentecostal Fellowship Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Cora Brock

LANCASTER - Cora Brock, 86, died Monday at Lancaster Christian Care Center. She was the widow of Charlie Brock. Arrangements are incomplete at Ramsey Funeral Home.

Mabel B. Dunham

WAYNESBURG - Mabel Bates Dunham, 81, of Waynesburg, died today at Fort Logan Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.


Travis Robinson

LANCASTER - Services for Travis Robinson, 88, of Paint Lick, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Robbins. Burial will be in Manse Cemetery.

He died Sunday at his home.

Born April 30, 1916, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late G.B. and Annie Shockley Robinson. He was a farmer and a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church. He was the widower of Catherine Robinson.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Baker of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Lucille Kelley of Lexington; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tom and John Robinson, Joseph Watkins, Willis Sparks, Bobby Smith and Ed Brents.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.
