Dear Editor:
We have seen what a Republican administration has done with health insurance in the commonwealth. They have managed to take a reasonably good plan and replace it with a terribly poor plan for their own employees. This is just an extension of the mindset that infiltrates Washington at this time.
During the Bush administration, 3.8 million Americans have lost their health insurance. Bush's Medicare bill will actually make prescription drugs more expensive. But yet he does not want us to be able to import drugs from Canada as John Kerry would allow. Why? Because it might reduce the obscene profits made by his friends in the drug companies.
John Kerry has a plan for affordable health care for most Americans and there will be tax incentives to assist small businesses with this endeavor. We cannot stand any more help from the Republicans. It is time for a change. Vote for Kerry and Mongiardo.
