Vivian P. Thomas
MOREHEAD - Vivian Porter Thomas, 93, of Olive Hill, died Tuesday at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
Born July 4, 1911, in Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel T. and Lucie B. Manning Porter. She was a homemaker, a member of Porter Creek Church of God and the widow of Ralph E. Thomas.
Survivors include a nephew, Talmage Everman of Danville.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals by the Rev. Johnny Carter. Burial will be in Sam Porter Cemetery, Carter County.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.
Floyd F. Thompson
BRANDENBURG - Floyd F. Thompson Jr., 86, of Brandenburg, died Wednesday at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
He was a member of Brandenburg First Baptist Church, an Air Force veteran of World War II and retired from the Air Force Reserves after 30 years. He also was a graduate of University of Kentucky and a Rotary Club member.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Thompson; a son, Floyd F. Thompson III of Corydon, Ind.; two daughters, Bonnie Wardrip of Battletown, and Linda Farmer of Brandenburg; a sister, Betty A. Johnson of Danville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to First Baptist Church building fund or WHAS Crusade for Children.
Narine L. Smith
Graveside services for Narine Louise Smith, 85, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Danville, will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Middleburg Cemetery by the Rev. Tim Mathis.
She died Sunday in Fort Worth.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday at First Baptist Church, Broadway.

MORELAND - Services for Marie Ball, 79, of Lancaster, will be 2 p.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Casey County.
She died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Dec. 19, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Sarah Lane Asberry. She was a homemaker and a member of White Oak Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, H.C. Ball; a daughter, Betty Votaw of Lancaster; two sons, Carol Ball and Eddie Ball, both of Lancaster; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Aaron and Chris Ball, Bryan Clark, Paul Burns, Charles, Jeff and Frebrin Asberry.
Honorary pallbearers are Brock Coleman, Sarah Ball, Crystal Coleman and DeSha Pierce.

LANCASTER - Services for Elizabeth Snodgrass Robinson, 86, of Maple Avenue, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. William H. Ewing and Olliver Miller. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Christian Care Center.
Born Dec. 7, 1918, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ophelia Mullins Snodgrass. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the widow of Andrew Robinson.
Survivors include five brothers, Walter H. Snodgrass of Lexington, Marshall Snodgrass of Nicholasville, Morris Snodgrass of Crab Orchard, James Snodgrass of Stanford and Claude Snodgrass of Danville; and four sisters, Bessie Helm of Crab Orchard, Serena Burnside of Danville, Clara Slaughter of Mount Sterling and Brenda Tarrance of Louisville.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth and Antious Slaughter, Brad Helm, Jeff Burnside, Morris and James Snodgrass.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today.
WAYNESBURG - Services for Esta Ware, 102, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Greg Powell and David Gambrel. Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Stanford House nursing home.
Born April 21, 1902, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Willis B. and Ida Caldwell McMullin.
She was the grandmother of Larry and Gary Ware, both of Walltown.
