Why is it that people write such awful letters to the editor about good people? Somewhere in the shadows there is a clandestine "why" that explains it all.
Chester Kavanaugh is a good person. He is not a member of any gang, conspiracy or triumvirate, although a mighty big effort is being orchestrated to make it appear that he is.
What manner of evil would wish to cast such an image - one that needs to remove Chester from the commission to get its way. Who? I have no idea, but it's obvious that somebody big wants something that involves a lot of money and a lot of power through the city government and that Chester is mighty inconvenient for that purpose. He asks too many questions, makes them uncomfortable, suggests unwanted alternatives, puts a pencil to their figures and all the other things that are awfully aggravating when there are easy dollars to be made and a mere peasant like Chester and the other lesser citizens of Danville are in the way of the really important people in Danville.
