On Tuesday afternoon, The Advocate-Messenger ran the candidate information survey results. I could hardly believe it when I read Republican Milward Dedman's response to the question on increases in cigarette taxes. He disagreed that taxes should be raised.
Last April 13 at a political candidate debate on WHBN, at a political debate at the Anderson Barn in May, and on Sept. 20 at a debate hosted by Mercer County High School and aired on WHBN, Dedman said he supported more taxes on cigarettes.
Whose side is he on? As a Republican, he is playing both sides of the issue.
