Being perfect wasn't enough to win last week's Hometown Tire Beat the Experts Football Contest.
Nine contestants got all 10 games in the contest right, but Clyde Rogers and Kenny Bottoms, both of Danville, were co-contest winners because they were the closest on the tiebreaker score of Mississippi State's win over Kentucky.
They each win a free four-wheel alignment, tire rotation and wheel balancing from Hometown Tire of Danville and are eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest that offers a $250 gift certificate for any service or product at Hometown Tire here.
Sports editor Larry Vaught and Hometown Tire's Jon McWilliams led the panel of experts with nine correct picks. Vaught was the closest on the tiebreaker score and only one of the 15 contestants with nine right beat him on the tiebreaker score.
