HARRODSBURG - The 15-year-old male who allegedly brought a weapon to Harrodsburg High School Friday remains suspended until a school-board hearing likely to be held later this month.
Superintendent H.M. Snodgrass said he thinks the hearing will be at the board's next regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 16.
The youngster allegedly had a replica of an old fashioned cap and ball revolver that requires gun powder, a lead ball and a cap to ignite the gunpowder. It is capable of carrying six rounds, Harrodsburg Police Sgt. J.L. Thomas said Friday afternoon.
The gun was not loaded and the student had none of the ingredients required to load and fire the weapon. The youth showed the pistol to other students on the bus he was riding to school and those students notified school personnel.
