Margaret L. Marksberry

Margaret Lillian Marksberry, 86, of Apache Trail, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1918, in Covington, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Emily May Hankins Burkart. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and John Prewitt Sunday School class. She was a member of China Painters Club of Lexington and a homemaker. She was the widow of Edward D. Marksberry.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Sobol of Danville; a sister, Emily Royce of Cincinnati; and a grandson.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Danville Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may go to Pioneer Playhouse.

Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mamie B. Crowe

PERRYVILLE - Mamie Clara Baugh Crowe, 88, of Parksville, died Tuesday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Born Oct. 23, 1916, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Pearlie Cook Baugh. She was the widow of J.T. Crowe. She was a homemaker and philanthropist, and a member of Mitchellsburg Church of God.


Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Crowe of Danville and Wilma Sheron of Junction City; three sons, Frankie Crowe of Perryville, Alton Crowe of Parksville, and Jay T. Crowe of Lincoln County; three sisters, Hazel Holt, Ella Holt and Effie Holman, all of Parksville; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby G. Crowe.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mitchellsburg Church of God by Larry Moore and Dan Nikolich. Burial will be in Mitchellsburg Church of God Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Strevels, Tony Crowe, Danny Crowe, Michael Sinkhorn, Mike Crowe, Jay Crowe II, Jay Crowe III and Bryan Sheron.

Honorary pallbearers are Kathy Cook, Dr. Don Hammer and members of Mitchellsburg Church of God.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Wilder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hunter Noel

HARRODSBURG - Hunter Noel, of Harrodsburg, brother of Betty Hill of Harrodsburg, died Thursday at Central Baptist Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Vickie Poitier

STANFORD - Vickie Poitier, 29, of Crab Orchard, died Thursday in Crab Orchard. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Carlos Terry

STANFORD - Carlos Terry, 79, of Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, died Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Dakota Whitenack

HARRODSBURG - Dakota Whitenack, 4-day-old daughter of Charles A. and Tracey L. Logan Whitenack of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Ada Logan of Harrodsburg and John Logan of Harlan; paternal grandmother, Mary W. Baker of Harrodsburg; and great-grandmothers, Jean Perkins of Harrodsburg, Thelma Logan of Harlan and Elizabeth Abt of Lincoln County.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Derek Baker. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Memorial may go to Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.


Sevier H. Austin

Services for Sevier Henderson Austin, 78, of Hancock Street, Junction City, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home by Ken Hall. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

He died Tuesday in Junction City.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Devine, Shane Pippin, Larry Hampton, Jeff Bennett, Michael Goodin and Roger Southerland. Honorary pallbearers are Shelia Wrenn, Delona Welch, Elcie Barnes and Delbert Ferrell.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.
