Margaret L. Marksberry

Graveside services for Margaret Lillian Marksberry, 86, of Apache Trail, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Danville Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Don Benningfield. A reception will follow at Centenary United Methodist Church Christian Life Center.

She died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1918, in Covington, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Emily May Hankins Burkart. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and the widow of Edward D. Marksberry.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Sobol of Danville; a sister, Emily Royce of Cincinnati; and a grandson.

Memorials may go to Pioneer Playhouse.

Hunter Noel

HARRODSBURG - Graveside serrvices for Hunter Noel, 72, of North Greenville Street, were Saturday at the Spring Hill Cemetery by Kenneth Whitehouse.


He died Thursday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

Born July 22, 1932, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Henry and Nannie Peach Noel. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Danville Leaf Tobacco Co.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Hill of Harrodsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Victoria R. Portier

STANFORD - Services for Victoria Reed Portier, 29, of Crab Orchard, are 2 p.m. today at the home of the family, 11054 Ky. 643, Crab Orchard.

She died Thursday in Crab Orchard.

Born Dec. 21, 1974, she was the daughter of Stanley and Sally Randolph Reed. She was a homemaker.

Other survivors include two sons, John and Edward Portier of Flora Home, Florida; two brothers, Willy and Weasel Reed of Crab Orchard; a sister, Becky Hammons of Ohio; and a companion, Kenneth Wilder of Crab Orchard.

Visitation is after noon today at the home of the family.

Fox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carlos Terry

STANFORD - Services for Carlos Thedford Terry, 79, of Hustonville, are 3 p.m. today at Greenriver Pentacostal Church by the Rev. Billy Brown. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post.

He died Thursday at VA Hospital in Lexington.

Born June 8, 1925, he was the son of the late Thedford and Effie Carrier Terry. He was a mechanic and retired employee of Danville Water Dept., and a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Greenriver Pentacostal Church, the VFW and American Legion.

He is survived by a brother, James M. Terry of Seattle.

Pallbearers will be Larry Walls Sr., Larry Bastin, Larry Walls Jr., Doug Davis, Bryan Walls and Ricky Hogue.

Visitation is 12-3 p.m. today at the church.
