The editorial in Sunday's paper advising both parties to work together should have been written before the election.
I agree that Democrats should work with Republicans as long as they can find ways to benefit all Americans and not just the wealthy. Democrats should make sure that any upcoming judicial appointee that Bush may send to them will interpret the Constitution as our founders made it and not give in to those who advocate change.
While some may gloat about this election, the simple truth is that you're now responsible. You're responsible if Americans fail to get healthcare reform and a prescription drug plan that will make drugs affordable. You're responsible for rising poverty, a massive debt that will be passed on to our children, more of our sons and daughters being shipped off to an ever-worsening bloodbath in iraq, veterans being cut off from benefits and many more issues that will affect our country during these next four years.
