Man charged after high speed chase
STANFORD - A high-speed police chase left the driver with a broken leg Monday, state police said.
Charles W. Mills, 22, of Louisville, was traveling south on Ky. 643 in Lincoln County while fleeing police in a stolen truck, state police said. Mills lost control of the Chevrolet 3500 on a curve 10 miles south of Stanford. The vehicle which left the road, struck a tree. He was treated and transported by Lincoln County Emergency Medical Service.
Mills, who was wanted by Somerset police, could face charges of driving under the influence, fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property valued over $300 and driving on a suspended license.
