Now that President Bush has been reelected, I would like to express my concern that everyone should work together, from the president all the way down to our local city commission.
Ever since 2000, we have heard about voters being disenfranchised. I believe that everyone in our nation, except for a few lawyers and judges, was disenfranchised in 2000.
Now a select few are saying that the moral majority decided this election. My question is: If this moral majority is so powerful, why do we not have prayer or the Ten Commandments in our schools? I'm not asking anyone to believe the way I do but I am asking to be allowed to express my beliefs the same as any other person. I don't remember any time when George Bush tried to push his beliefs on the American people. However, I do remember that he said that every individual has the right to worship in any manner they wanted, or not at all. But when he was asked point-blank, he said what his beliefs were. Evidently, enough people agreed to reelect him.
