Arson suspected in Casey County fire
LIBERTY - A vacant mobile home that was heavily damaged late Sunday may have been intentionally set on fire, a firefighter said.
"I think it was arson," said Fire Chief Mike McQueary. The mobile home was located on Ky. 501.
The mobile home, which was rental property, is owned by Marvin Martin, who lives across the road from the fire scene. McQueary said the electricity was not turned on.
Firefighters were called to the fire at 11:30 p.m. and stayed at the scene until 3 a.m. today.
The fire chief said the mobile home did not completely burn down, but it would probably not be livable.
