Fiscal Court to talk money in Junction City

November 16, 2004

JUNCTION CITY - Boyle Fiscal Court will meet at 6 p.m. today at the Junction City Elementary School library to listen to residents' comments and concerns about the county's fiscal crisis and possible payroll tax increase.

Judge-Executive Tony Wilder has told magistrates that the county is quickly spending down its surplus, and it will either have to cut services or raise payroll taxes to keep afloat. He will explain the situation to the public, and then he and the magistrates will listen to the people.
