Thanks for supporting All in Good Taste

November 18, 2004

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce, I would like to thank The Advocate-Messenger for the great coverage leading up to our All in Good Taste event on Saturday.

Jennifer Brummett and Emily Toadvine promoted the event in the Arts & Entertainment and Food sections, along with daily mention leading up to the stories.

The success of the event can also be attributed to our major sponsor, Cellular One, as well as the 19 participating Chamber restaurants and caterers who generously shared great dishes with all those in attendance.

The Arts Commission worked with the Chamber to create a wonderful Arts Weekend in Boyle County, hosting a Gallery Hop Friday evening, with 15 of those artists joining our Taste event and displaying their artistic creativity Saturday evening, as well.

Director Jeremy Mulholland and the Heritage Area String Program Chamber Group played wonderful music, showcasing the talents of six of our local youth, while The Hardwood Trio, consisting of John Pope, Bob Hackett and Eben Henson, played jazz standards.

Hometown Radio and Robert Wagner also promoted the event on their morning talk show, in the news and with radio spots.

Many Chamber members, serving as volunteers, did the work that made this event such a success. To all our Chamber Ambassadors, board members and others who helped, my hat is off to you! What a great job organizing, promoting and working the event!

The community embraced this weekend of Arts offerings and attended in great numbers. Thank you to everyone who attended our Saturday evening event.

We look forward to making this an annual event.
