An apparent brawl outside the Henson Hotel on Main Street Thursday afternoon resulted in no arrests because the two alleged victims were "too intoxicated" immediately following the fight to fill out criminal complaints, police said today. Arrests may be pending if the victims file complaints, police said.
The Danville Police Department received a call at 5:25 p.m. from someone reporting there were "several subjects fighting outside the Henson Hotel; unknown if there were any weapons," said Assistant Police Chief Jay Newell.
"When the officers got there, there were four subjects standing outside the hotel, and the hotel manager was in the doorway," Newell said. "The officers were told there had been a fight in a hallway of the hotel.
The manager said he had ordered the subjects to leave. The officers were told there were two victims inside the hotel, both with injuries."
