Mackville hosts Christmas celebration

Christmas in Mackville will be held Dec. 11 at the Community Center. A country ham dinner will be served 5:30-7:30 p.m. The meal includes country ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn pudding, fruit salad, homemade rolls and deserts plus tea, coffee or lemonade

Entertainment featuring Larry Sanders and Borderline will begin at 7:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are $12, groups of 15 or more $10, anyone under age 12, $6. Tickets will be sold at the door for $15.

Tickets are available at State Bank & Trust, Royalty's Florist, Alexander & Royalty of Harrodsburg, BB&T in Springfield and Springfield State Bank.


Open house set at Ottenhiem church

A Christmas Open House will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ottenheim, from 2-4 p.m. Dec. 5. The event is open to the public and will feature spiced cider, hot cocoa, cake and cookies, and Christmas caroling.


Crab Orchard City Commission - 6:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.

Stanford City Council - 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Historic Depot.
