Coyle wins Hometown Contest

Andy Coyle of Gravel Switch got the Hometown Tire Beat the Experts Basketball Contest off to a perfect start.

He picked all 10 winners to win the season's first contest. He'll receive a free four-wheel alignment, tire rotation and wheel balancing from Danville's Hometown Tire. He will also be eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest.

Vicki Spears led the panel of experts with eight correct choices in her contest debut. Spears, who works at Boyle County High School, had a son and daughter play basketball at Boyle. She be a regular member of the expert panel during basketball season.

Those who beat her to win a free tire rotation were:

Nine right - Marvin King, Stanford; Steven Baker, Lancaster; Woody Sanders, Danville; Cliff Dawson, Danville; and Ray Young, Parksville.

Eight - Kenny Bottoms, Danville; Carlos Allen, Hustonville; Garland Frederick, Danville; John Dinwiddie, Danville; Randy Kemplin, Danville; Peggy Hummer, Danville; and Clyde Rogers II, Danville.


Football Contest

Contestants who won a weekly contest during football season are eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest. Contestants should look on Page B2 of Tuesday's The Advocate-Messenger for a graphic with the lineup of upcoming bowl games. Contestants should pick the winner in each game - Louisville-Boise State will be the tiebreaker.

Entry forms must be received at The Advocate-Messenger by noon Dec. 13.

Those eligible for the grand prize contest are Kenny Floyd of Stanford, Robert McCowan of Danville, Clyde Rogers of Danville, Kenny Bottoms of Danville, Tim Whitis of Stanford, Donna Bottoms of Danville, Mike Martin of Danville, Stephanie Hardin of Junction City, Mackie Brock of Danville, and Zachary Johnson of Stanford.
