HARRODSBURG - Neighboring property owners will have to decide how a shared driveway will be handled before a zone-change request can be considered.
Mike Burke, owner of Burke Service Co., whose property is adjacent to the property in question, said he does not oppose the request of Christopher D. Chilton to re-zone property at 993 Danville Road from agricultural to business.
However, he wants the Greater Harrodsburg/Mercer County Planning and Zoning Commission members to know that the two share a common driveway and they have yet to determine how it would be used if there is another business next to him. The property south of Chilton's is owned by Best Appliance.
Chilton's property already has a house and detached garage, and Chilton told commissioners that he might put a used car business on the property, too.
