Beatrice Lee

LIBERTY - Beatrice Lee, 88, of Franklin, Ind., formerly of Casey County, died Wednesday in Franklin.

Born Aug. 18, 1916, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Newt and Pina Scott Emerson.

She was an employee of Page-Bendix Corp. in Franklin.

Survivors include her husband, Buel Lee; two daughters, Hazel Goode of Martinsville, Ind., and Garneda Petersen of Henderson, Nev.; a son, Carroll Glenn Lee of Summerfield, Fla.; three sisters, Aline Hicks of Franklin, Flonnie Marple of Campbellsville and Lola Sandusky of Liberty; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Wanda Carmen Carter.

Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday.


Willie H. Cocanougher


Services for Willie Hays Cocanougher, 89, of East Main Street, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Truitt Cocanougher. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Perryville.

She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 7, 1914, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late William and Rosa Isham Cocanougher. She was a seamstress and a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Doris Brown of Danville; and other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Garnett, Glenn, Jimmy and W.D. Cocanougher Jr., Leslie Brown, Thomas Chapman and Carroll Webb.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday.

Memorials may go to Gideon International Bible Fund.

Alvaline Bowles

LIBERTY - Services for Alvaline Bowles, 67, of Louisville, will be 2 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Edward Parton.

Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

Born Nov. 9, 1937, in Adair County, she was the daughter of the late Chester B. and Mintie Davis Riddle. She was a homemaker and the widow of Mitchell Bowles.

Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Gray and Opal Bratcher, both of Louisville, Normalean Dicker of Williamsburg, and Mary Riddle of Frankfort; four brothers, Delbert Riddle of Sippio, Ind., Deward and Luaird Riddle, both of Liberty, and James E. Riddle of Avon Park, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is noon today until time of service.

Margaret L. Coffman

LIBERTY - Services for Margaret Louise Coffman, 78, of Button Knob Road, will be 1 p.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Ed Parton and Darren Gillespie.

Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Jan. 11, 1926, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Laura Barlette Mills. She was a cook at Douglas Elementary School and a 50-year member of Atwood Chapel United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Cobert Coffman.

Survivors include two sons, David and Dwight Coffman, both of Liberty; two sisters, Mildred Coffman of Liberty and Dorothy Moore of Bedford County, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Byron, Josh, Ken, Chris and Jerry Coffman, Vic and Keith Moore.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. today.
