Barnes family to be honored

Elder Eric Barnes and his wife, Minister Bernice Barnes, and their children will be honored Saturday and Sunday with an appreciate service by the Church of God of America, 449 Martin Luther King Boulevard.

The 7:30 p.m. Saturday service will be a musical by the PSALMS Choir of Louisville, Sister Charity and Anu Anointing Generation Ensemble of Lexington, Monticello Youth Chorus, Verman Winburn, Re'Shae Barnes and other talent. The service is dedicated to the anointing musical talents of the Barnes family.

The 11 a.m. Sunday service is dedicated to the Barnes family, who have dedicated over 35 years of singing, preaching, praying and supporting the services of the Church of God Of America and throughout Central Kentucky.


Bishop T.L. Hill and the Deliverance Temple Church of Brooks, will be special guests.


Buena Vista Baptist Church - 11 a.m. Dec. 19 for a musical about the Birth of Christ and message by pastor. The 6 p.m. service will be a musical, "One True King," by the church children, youths and adult choirs. The church is in Garrard County.

First Baptist Church - 4 p.m. Sunday for a Christmas Praise 2004 service by First Baptist Church Male Chorus to sing and celebrate the birth of Christ. The church is at the corner of Second and Walnut streets.

Frey's Creek Baptist Church - 6 p.m. Saturday, Christmas on the Creek with fellowship, singing and refreshments. The church is on Highway 906 in Casey County.

First Baptist Church, Junction City - 6 p.m. Sunday, the children's choir under the direction of Susie Kendrick will present the Christmas musical story, "It Happened In The Country" by Dennis & Nan Allen. The public is invited.


Olde Path Holiness Church - 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. each Sunday and 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at 22 East Shelby St., Junction City. Pastor David Noe and congregation invites visitors.
