Community action agency to hold meeting

Bluegrass Community Action Agency will hold a public meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the agency's office on the third floor of the Boyle County Courthouse to discuss needs of low income residents. Call Sherry Jo Carey, community developer for the agency, for more information.

Blood drive planned Wednesday

Central Kentucky Blood Center will hold a blood drive from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Inter-County Energy, Hustonville Road. Donors must be over 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Donors will receive a free snack, drink and T-shirt. Ruritan Club plans Christmas parade

SALVISA - Salvisa Ruritan Club will host its annual Christmas parade at 10 a.m. Saturday. Floats will line up at 9:30 a.m. at Salvisa Baptist Church. Prizes will be awarded for the top three floats in the parade.


Church children's choir to sing in Junction City

JUNCTION CITY - The children's choir at Junction City First Baptist Church, under the direction of Susie Kendrick, will present the Christmas musical story "It Happened in the Country" by Dennis and Nan Allen. The performance will be 6 p.m. Sunday.


Information released by Kentucky State Police in Richmond concerning a double fatal traffic accident in Mercer County Sunday was incorrect. A vehicle driven by Kenneth W. Devine, 38, of Harrodsburg went out of control, crossed into the westbound lane, and skidded sideways into the path of a vehicle driven by Jonathan L. Murray, 28, of Harrodsburg.
