STANFORD - A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Stanford woman arrested last week after leading police on a high-speed chase while allegedly intoxicated and in possession of ingredients for methamphetamine.
Tanith J. West, 20, of 308 West Main St., will appear in Lincoln County District Court for a preliminary hearing Thursday.
She was arrested Dec. 8 after police witnessed her cross the center line while traveling on U.S. 27 South. When they attempted to stop her, West reportedly sped to Ky. 698.
After West stopped the vehicle, a white male passenger escaped, police said. West would not identify him.
During the traffic stop officials discovered approximately 20 boxes of Actifed pills, used to make meth. Officers also found such drug manufacturing items as hot plates, hoses, an iron skillet, a quart of muriatic acid, 200 coffee filters and 26 ounces of salt.
