A limited supply of flu shots is still available at the Boyle County Health Department, Administrator Roger Trent said. The cost is $17 or the shots may be covered by Medicare/Medicaid. It is still early in the flu season that lasts until April, Trent said. A limited supply of FluMist, administered intranasally, for healthy persons between the ages of 5 and 29; cost is $27. Boyle County Health Department has administered 3,327 flu vaccines this season. Three cases of flu have been positively identified in Kenton and Boone counties by the state laboratory.
