LIBERTY - The Casey County Board of Education heard an update Monday on its renovation projects at the middle school and Jones Park Elementary School.
The board agreed to approve final payment on the middle school heating and air conditioning renovation. Doss & Horkey construction company of Danville was paid $121,945 to close out the project.
A $457,205 payment to D.W. Wilburn construction company in Lexington also was approved for work on Jones Park Elementary.
In other construction matters, the board also approved payment of the following construction-related bills: Atlas Metal Products Co. Inc., $13,967; Harry Gordon Steel Co. Inc., $25,000; Pyles Concrete Inc., $11,735; and Hinkle Contracting, $42,563.
Rosemary Woodruff of First Kentucky Securities was on hand to talk about refinancing to refund and retire certain school building revenue bonds originally issued to refinance a school building project.
