Mitchell Brice Followell of Harrodsburg not only expected Kentucky to beat Louisville, but he also thought three other visiting teams would win games in last week's Hometown Tire Beat the Experts Basketball Contest.
That allowed him to get nine games right and win the weekly contest. He'll receive a four-wheel alignment, tire rotation and wheel balancing from Hometown Tire of Danville. He's also now eligible for the season-ending grand prize contest that offers a $250 gift certificate for any service or product at Danville's Hometown Tire.
Larry Vaught led the panel of experts with eight correct choices. The only one of 11 contestants with eight games right to beat him on the tiebreaker score was Danville's Norman Bartleson, who wins a free tire rotation.
Entry blank for this week's contest is on Page B2 of today's The Advocate-Messenger. Because of the Christmas holiday, entries must be received by noon Thursday because all the contest games will be on Thursday night.
