Harrodsburg woman faces multiple charges

HARRODSBURG Police arrested Lisa Ann Stringer, 37, of 527 Cogar Ave., at 10:22 p.m. Dec. 14, on multiple charges following a traffic accident.

Officers were called to a non-injury accident at South College Street and the Swifty Gas Station.

When they arrived, the driver, who police said caused the accident, was fleeing the scene in her vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle on East Office Street.

After a short foot chase, Stringer was apprehended and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, second offense driving under the influence of intoxicants, second-degree fleeing police, failure to notify Department of Transportation of address change, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, prescription medication not in original container and two counts of failure to appear in Boyle District Court.


Stringer was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center. Bond for the two Boyle County charges is $10,000 cash. Bond on all of the other charges is 10 percent of $12,000.

Somerset woman arrested

HARRODSBURG Cheri L. Wilson, 40, of Somerset, was released on bond after her arrest by police here at about 9:30 p.m., Friday, when police stopped the vehicle in which she was riding.

Officer Jason Eldridge stopped the vehicle for a suspected driving under the influence of intoxicants. He noticed a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. When he searched Wilson's purse, he found a bag of marijuana and various types of drug paraphernalia, according to a Harrodsburg Police Department press release. Wilson was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Eldridge is investigating; he was assisted by Officer Jason Elder.

Police investigate theft

HARRODSBURG Police here are investigating the theft of seven $100 bills from a purse belonging to Rhonda K. Coontz, 37, of 4129 White Oak Road, Junction City. The theft occurred between 4:30 and 6 a.m. Monday at Harrodsburg Health Care.

Officer Tim Gambrel is investigating.
