Monroes celebrate 45 years together

Ted and Natalie Monroe of Danville, formerly of Cynthiana, celebrated their 45th anniversary Monday.

They were married Dec. 20, 1959, in Crab Orchard at the home of Natalie's parents, Burt and Loretta Jacobs.

They have four children: Emily Bates of Louisville, Theo Monroe of Santa Monica, Calif., Joe Monroe of Versailles and Jim Monroe of Danville. They have three grandchildren.

They are members of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Ted Monroe is a retired certified public accountant and Natalie Monroe is a nurse at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Hendersons celebrate golden anniversary

Jane and Oliver Henderson of Danville celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family dinner given by their children aboard the Kentucky Dinner Train in Bardstown.


They were married Dec. 24, 1954, in Jellico, Tenn.

They have two children: Margaret Moore of Danville and Kathy Blanton of Huntsville, Ala. They have four grandchildren.

Gays celebrate 50 years together

William M. and Daisy Greer Gay will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception 2-3 p.m. Jan. 2 at Lancaster Baptist Church on Richmond Street in Lancaster. The celebration is being given by the couple's children.

They were married Dec. 29, 1954, in Paint Lick by Willie Rogers.

They have four children: William T. Gay of Lancaster, Teresa Welch of Greenup, Jeanie Galloway of Pippa Passas, and Sharon Cooper of Cincinnati. They have five grandchildren.

The couple requests no gifts but to share memories through cards and letters.
