Weddings for Dec. 26

Melanie Nicole Holmes and Clinton Wade Miracle were married Dec. 11 in Tennessee.

The couple plans to take a Caribbean cruise.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Patricia Neal of Bristol, Tenn. She is a 1998 graduate of Tennessee High School in Bristol and is employed as a veterinary assistant at Stanford Veterinary Hospital.

The groom is the son of Bill and Pat Holloway of Stanford and the late Mike Miracle. He is a 1996 graduate of Lincoln County High School and is employed as a mechanic at Bob Allen Motor Mall and owner of After Hours Auto Repair in Stanford.

They live in Stanford.


Valarie Lynn Hodgkins and James Ashley Decker were married Aug. 14 in Lancaster in a garden wedding by the Rev. Robert Coppings at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Decker.


Megan Henry of Sevierville, Tenn., served as maid of honor. Aaron Decker, brother of the groom, was best man. Jesse Jones of Flatwoods was groomsman.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Glenda Burton of Louisa. She is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence County High School and is a student at Berea College.

The groom is the son of Mark and Glenda Decker of Lancaster. He is the grandson of Charlotte Playforth of Lancaster and Hulah Snow of Stanford. He is a 1997 graduate of Garrard County High School and a graduate of Berea College. He is employed by Electronic Data Systems in Winchester.

They live in Berea.
