I have most of the letters the booze-pushers in Danville wrote telling us people in the county about all the revenue and taxes booze would bring in. So don't say you did not say it. Now, many of these same people tell us we now need a payroll tax. I did not believe them then, and I do not believe them now. Do you? Get me once, shame on you; get me twice, shame on me.
Would the same people who wrote all of these letters telling us people out in the county how booze would cure all of our tax and financial problems please step forward and tell us why we now need a payroll tax?
I live on Ky. 300 between Alum Springs and Parksville, and in the last year three young people have been killed on this road by booze sold in Danville! By the way, I shop in Liberty as do many county people who were left out of your decision. Yes, the chickens do come home to roost.
