CRAB ORCHARD - A man charged with running from police and leaving the scene of an accident appeared in court Thursday where his case was referred to the grand jury.
Jeremy K. Moore, 20, of Crab Orchard, was arrested Dec. 22 after a high-speed pursuit near Crab Orchard that led state police down foggy roads at speeds of more than 90 mph.
Moore was arrested 10 p.m. after driving through the yard of Thomas Yocum and crashing on Ky. 618. Yocum's satellite dish and a tree fell victim to the hit and run.
Moore was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to wear a seat belt, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing/evading police, driving on a DUI-suspended license and driving under the influence of intoxicants, second offense.
