Community invited to nominate teachers

Community members and students are invited to join teachers in nominating outstanding teachers to be named a Boyle County Schools Teacher of the Year.

Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 28 with winners to be announced in March.

Three people must endorse the nomination. The teacher nominee must have at least three years of classroom experience. Applicants will be evaluated at the local and state level on the following criteria: creativity and originality, communication skills, education contributions/accomplishments, professional development and community involvement.

The Boyle County Schools District Teacher Advisory Council will review all nominations and identify one elementary, middle and high school teacher as a Teacher of the Year. Local winners will be invited to complete the nomination process for state Teacher of the Year competition.
