Kevin S. Hall, 25, and Danny L. New, 44, entered their pleas to possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, manufacturing methamphetamine with firearm, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, and knowingly possessing anhydrous without appropriate container and with the intent to manufacture meth.

The two men were arrested Feb. 5 by state police after they were spotted at a store in Mintonville. New had outstanding warrants from Pulaski County. Officers spotted scales, meth, a .357-Magnum in the vehicle and on one of the men.

New told state police he was the driver and Hall was the passenger of the vehicle.

Later, an alleged meth lab was discovered at a residence on Henson Creek Road where the two men were apparently living. Another weapon was located at the residence.

Court records show Hall, who lives in a trailer park in Somerset, is disabled and did odd jobs. New is a seasonal worker and does mechanic and construction work.

Each remains in jail under a $50,000 cash bond.
