Benedicts celebrate 69th anniversary

Walter and Polly Benedict of Junction City celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Feb. 12 at the Masonic Lodge Hall in Perryville.

Benedict, a Junction City native, and his wife, the former Polly Shelton, of Murray, were married Feb. 16, 1936, in Paris, Tenn. They have lived in Junction City most of their married life. He is retired after working 26 years at Corning Glass, on the railroad and the farm. She retired after working 39 1/2 years at Palm Beach Co.

They have two sons, Tommy Joe Benedict of Junction City and Jerry M. Benedict of Debary, Fla. They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Crouches celebrate 40 years together

Kenneth and Betty Crouch of Danville celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a dinner Feb. 11 at Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg. The dinner was hosted by their daughters. The event included a wedding shower and a photo presentation of the past 40 years.

They were married Feb. 19, 1965, at Lancaster Christian Church by the Rev. Henry Campbell. They have four daughters, Barbara Pinkston to Danville, Shirley Woods of Lancaster, Donna Brown of Taylor Mill and Angela Correll of Stanford; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Heltons celebrate 40th anniversary

Dwight and Betty Walden Helton of Danville celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday at the American Legion Hall in Danville. The surprise reception was hosted by their daughters.

They were married Feb. 20, 1965, in Sloans Valley at the home of the groom's parents by the Rev. Gerald Lewis.

They have three daughters, Melissa Stevens of Danville, Wendy Allen of Lancaster and Mindy Helton of Bowling Green.

Conleys celebrate 35th anniversary

Dwight N. and Linda L. Conley of Danville will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary Monday.

They were married Feb. 21, 1970, at Hyattsville Baptist Church in Garrard County.

They have two children, Jeff Conley of Perryville and Kimberly D. Jones of Danville; and two grandchildren.

Leagues celebrate golden anniversary

Mildred and Earl League celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Jan. 15 at Pleasant Grove Christian Church. The reception was hosted by their son, Danny League of Lancaster.

They were married Jan. 14, 1955, in Garrard County.

They have three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
