Fletcher to visit Liberty

LIBERTY - Gov. Ernie Fletcher will present a Community Development Block Grant to the city and county at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Water Tank Co. on U.S. 127 South.

Good Friday service set

McKINNEY - McKinney Christian Church will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday. Randy Middleton will speak, and Joe Wade and Crystalynn Hubble will sing. Call (606) 346-9478 for more information.

Casey employees get pay hike

LIBERTY - Casey Fiscal Court gave all county employees a 3.26 percent pay raise Monday night. County Judge-Executive Ronald Wright said all county elected officials also get the cost-of-living raise.

In personnel matters, Randall Monday, who works at the county recycling center, was hired as a truck driver for the road department on an as-needed basis; and Terra McQueary was hired as a part-time dispatcher for the E911 emergency communications system to fill a vacancy.

CORRECTION

The "What's Cooking In Your Kitchen?" lunch break sessions hosted by the Lincoln County Extension Extension Service office will be 12:15-12:50 p.m. March 29, April 5 and April 12. The cost is $2 a session. The price was wrong in Sunday's paper.
