SOMERSET - Lincoln County committed 12 errors Tuesday in a 12-1, five-inning loss to Pulaski Southwestern.
While Southwestern took advantage of the Lady Patriots' mistakes, Lincoln (2-2) had only two hits.
"We're not playing smart, fundamental softball right now. We're letting poor defensive plays hurt us when we go to the plate," Lincoln coach Pam Young said.
Samantha Stapleton and Jenny Ralston had Lincoln's only hits.
Southwestern had only three hits, but Ralston and Ashton Gooch combined to walk nine batters.
