Much of the work to redesign traffic patterns around the campus of Boyle County High School, Boyle County Middle School and Woodlawn Elementary has been at least partially completed, meaning that, with a few exceptions, the new flow of buses and parents picking up and dropping off students at the schools will go off as planned.
A new loop for parents to drop off their children at the north end of Woodlawn Elementary is ready for use, as is the new drop-off area in front on the middle school. Those drop-off spots will only be accessed from the Bypass entrance to the campus near the central office.
At the high school, work to redesign the front entrance and expand the cafeteria won't be completed until November, so that will play havoc with student drop-offs and pick-ups for a while.
High school students who drive to school will use the easternmost entrance off Perryville Road (the one closest to Danville) and follow the new road behind the school to the student parking lot. Students won't have access to that parking lot via the western entrance (now reserved only for buses) or the Bypass entrance.
