Zellen named Centre volleyball assistant

New Centre head volleyball coach James Neyhouse has announced Marci Zellen will become the assistant volleyball coach for the 2005-2006 school year.

Zellen is currently a senior at Eastern Kentucky University, where she was a defensive specialist on the volleyball team as a freshman before an injury ended her college career.

Due to injury, Zellen became Eastern Kentucky's volleyball manager for both her sophomore and junior years. She has also worked camps as an instructor including the NIKE Camp at Eastern Kentucky.

Zellen, a native of Ft. Mitchell, played Northern Kentucky Junior Volleyball for current Centre head volleyball coach James Neyhouse in 2001. She was a also a four-year varsity starter at Beechwood High School.

"I am very pleased to have Marci join me in my first year at Centre. Marci will help with all aspects of the game, including training, scouting, and recruiting. I am sure that the team will benefit from her experience and knowledge," Neyhouse said.

Zellen is a business administration major with a concentration in management. She will graduate in the spring of 2006.
