Eight face drug charges in Mercer

HARRODSBURG - Eight people have been arrested on warrants for alleged drug trafficking after a six-month investigation by Harrodsburg Police Department.

The arrests were made Tuesday for alleged offenses that occurred between the fall of 2003 and earlier this year, according to a report by Detective Garry Bradshaw. He said the arrests were part of the continuing drug investigations by local police.

Charges were for trafficking in cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs. Arrested were:

Loverace Johnson Jr., 44, of 427 W. Broadway, two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, crack cocaine.

Carol Hisle, 35, of Pioneer 24, trafficking in under 8 ounces of marijuana.

Wendell Moier Anderson, 34, and Shirley Anderson, 30, both of 524 Newby Court, each charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, a prescription drug.

Pamela L. Hardin, 56, of 200 Daisy St., second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, the prescription drugs Lortab and Xanax.

Vicky Davis, 47, of 638 Beaumont Ave., two counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, the prescription drug Hydrocodone.

Carl W. Bartleson, 32, of Roeder Farm, La Grange, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cocaine.

William Henry Hill, 48, of 642 Bellows Mill Road, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
