Emarine H. King

Emarine Hicks King, 74, of Danville, died Thursday at her home.

Born May 11, 1931, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Goebel Hicks and Mattie Turner Hicks Williams. She was retired employee of Corning Glass and a member of Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church. She was the widow of W.R. "Bill" King.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Brooks of Danville; two stepsons, Robert Cash of Lexington and Jim Cash of Danville; two stepsons, Rodney and Stewart King, both of Danville; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Gary Story and Mark Seay. Entombment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.


Pallbearers will be Jay, Doug and Jerry Whittaker, Reed, Rocky and Jon Cash, and Bryan King.

Honorary pallbearers are Jessica Cash, Kelly Cash Ballenger, Lane Cash Schill, and Ashley, Jessica and Taylor King.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Heritage Hospice or Parkinson Research Center.

Randall C. Carman

LIBERTY - Randall Creech "Satch" Carman, 46, of Yosemite, died Thursday at home.

Born Nov. 27. 1958, in Liberty, he was a son of Creech and Charlotte Raney Carmen of Yosemite. He was an employee of R.R. Donnelley & Sons and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.

Other survivors include his wife, Cynthia Baker Carman; three stepdaughters, Renee Becker of Cincinnati, Kris Bullock of Lexington and Robbie Holder of Somerset; a stepson, Clint "Buddy" Bullock of Yosemite; and two sisters, Cecilia Earles of Liberty and Pam Morgan of Yosemite.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Revs. C.B. Carman and Derrick Durham. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill and Justin Baker, Matt Becker, Clint Bullock, Robert Holder and Justin Spears.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday.

G.W. Gabehart

LIBERTY - G.W. Gabehart III, 77, of Glasgow, formerly of Casey County, died Thursday in Glasgow.

Born Jan. 12, 1928, in Casey County, he was a son of the late G.W. and Lissie Smallwood Gabehart.

Survivors include two brothers, Albert Gabehart of Louisville and Don Gabehart of Campbellsville; and two sisters, Irene Payne of Lebanon and Evelyn Dillingham of Louisville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Rev. Andy Hornback. Burial will be in Merrimac Cemetery in Taylor County.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Joseph Hicks

LIBERTY - Joseph Hicks, 59, of Argillite in Greenup County, died Tuesday in Russell.

Born March 22, 1946, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Edgar and Mennie Bedwell Hicks. He was a former employee of CSX Railroad.

Survivors include two daughters, Monica Hicks of Raceland, and Marla Jo Salyers of Flatwoods; three brothers, Glen Hicks of Liberty, Hershel Hicks of Alexandria, Ind., and Jerry Hicks of Somerset; and a sister, Judy Colvin of Anderson, Ind.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Luther Rodgers. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.
